Iowa Marketers Shine Bright at AMA Iowa NOVA Awards
DES MOINES, Iowa (May 23, 2016) — The already vibrant Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden got an extra dash of color on May 12 as AMA Iowa celebrated some of Iowa’s best marketers at the SPECTRUM NOVA Awards. Attendees took the theme to heart and showed up in their most colorful outfits.
Two Rivers Marketing took home top honors, winning Best of Show and the People’s Choice Award for their work on the “Vermeer Underground Showdown and Ultimate Crew Campaign.”
“Two Rivers Marketing and Vermeer were honored to be chosen for the Best of Show award,” said Greg Ehm, Public Relations Director at Two Rivers Marketing. “The Ultimate Crew Underground Showdown was a fun project for the entire team; we had the opportunity to celebrate the work of those who bring basic needs — electricity, water and fiber — to our homes and businesses. The campaign reached a significant audience and helped enhance the Vermeer brand.”
Joleen Mahaffey, EDWARDS, was awarded Volunteer of the Year after receiving multiple nominations as a volunteer on the Membership Committee throughout the year and for her outstanding efforts on the NOVA Awards Creative Committee. “Joleen has been a passionate volunteer for AMA Iowa since day one, and she truly embodies AMA Iowa’s principles,” said Angela Ten Clay, AMA Iowa Immediate Past President and NOVA Awards Co-Chair.
