You will be working with the Director of Marketing and National Sales Manager to support the development, implementation, and management of our sales and marketing plans. You will need the organizational skills to manage various concurrent projects and programs that will drive real results.

A big part of this role will be to act as gatekeeper and sales advocate for content and lead generation activities. You will partner with Marketing resources as needed for sales announcements or other communication. Experience with CRM and Marketing Automation platforms, including opportunity management, monitoring funnels, and reporting on outcomes, is necessary.

The Sales & Marketing Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the National Sales Team by overseeing opportunities & quotes with absolute precision. They are responsible for providing management with reports as requested. The ideal candidate will have excellent administrative skills and be capable of supporting multiple projects with competing priorities. The ability to appropriately prioritize workflow and thrive in a busy and dynamic work environment is a must.

This position is a crucial player in how well we can forecast and respond based on data-driven information.

This position will support the Sales Team by efficiently inputting data into and maintaining our CRM system's accuracy. The Sales & Marketing Support Specialist will also monitor key deal metrics via the internal CRM system and engage internal stakeholders for follow-up where appropriate. Reporting to the Marketing Director, this role is also responsible for raising the overall close ratio across our various lead-generating channels.

This position is involved in all activities that project our image internally to our sales staff and externally to the supplier/vendor and customer communities in which we serve. This communication may include any formats written, electronic, image, or event-based outreach.


Customer Relationship Management

  • Occasional front-line phone coverage and routing with importance on gathering comprehensive notes and inquiry information the first time.

  • Maintains and owns the customer database by entering any new and updated customer and account information.

  • Verifies entered customer and order data by reviewing, deleting, correcting, or re-entering data that may or may not have been correct in the first place (due most commonly to human error during the order entry process).

  • Processes customer and account source documents by reviewing data for deficiencies; resolving discrepancies using standard procedures (i.e., getting in contact with the person who wrote the order to ask them why they forgot to include quantities on individual line items).

  • Purging files to eliminate duplication of data. • Recognize and escalate any critical issues to management immediately.

  • Identifying opportunities to streamline workflow.

Project Management

  • Diligently oversee and prioritize the execution of all opportunities, from initial marketing interaction through final approval, driving for efficiency, monitoring adherence to timelines, and maintaining accountability.

  • Sales side representative at weekly status calls with Marketing Director.

Relationship Management

  • Develop & maintain positive internal relationships as you liaise between all AXON and Corporate teams involved in the deal phase, including Sales, Marketing, Purchasing, and Shipping.

Tool & System Support Development

  • Discern themes in systems across the entirety of the CRM & ERP systems to identify suboptimal aspects (e.g., process, tools, use case definition), develop recommendations for improvement, and work with Marketing to implement solutions.

Training & Education

  • Provides Sales team with ongoing training on system updates, tools, tricks, and hacks.


  • PROJECT MANAGEMENT: An organized, meticulous approach to managing multiple complex projects. Impeccable execution in prioritization and setting and meeting timelines. Ability to manage administrative tasks alongside complex projects.

  • BUSINESS ACUMEN: Can quickly understand both the big picture as well as the nuance of intricate details.

  • RELATIONAL SAVVY: Must have exceptional people skills. Works well in team efforts across multiple departments.

  • COMMUNICATION: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

  • CRM SYSTEM & MARKETING AUTOMATION EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years of experience in sales systems management and deal management is preferred. (HubSpot experience a plus)
