The primary responsibility of the Program Director is to provide senior-level guidance during the creation of program/campaign scoping, timelines and budgets, as well as to manage overarching, consolidated program budgets and work-back schedules throughout the life of a client’s program/campaign. The Program Director acts as the senior agency advocate on accounts, monitoring overall program scope creep and providing detailed oversight of project transactions.

Additionally, the Program Director drives the new business proposal and RFP process for organic new business. The Program Director is responsible for scoping the new business proposal or RFP response, including the development of spec work, and managing the delivery of the proposal or RFP to an approved budget.


  • Ensures project estimates align with proposal detail

  • Manages consolidated program/campaign timelines

  • Manages consolidated client timelines

  • Oversees that all client engagements are on quality (tactical), on time and on budget

  • Oversees the consistent successful facilitation of client engagements

  • Manages PO approvals for their clients up to $100,000

  • Manages program/campaign/project scope creep

  • Manages all program/campaign change orders

  • Maintains and monitors overarching client budgets and schedules monthly

  • Ensures adherence to pertinent client contract requirements

  • Manages assigned project management team members

  • Maintains professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values

  • Other duties, as assigned


  • 10+ years of project management experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Marketing agency experience

  • Skilled in developing program/campaign work breakdown structures, creating timelines and driving successful execution of programs/campaigns, onquality, on-budget and on-schedule

  • Skilled in collaborating with team members to create program/campaign estimates aligned with proposed scopes of work

  • Skilled in program/campaign and project financial management and analysis

  • Skilled in successfully managing programs/campaigns with multiple complex projects, components and deliverables

  • Experience managing RFP/pitch process

  • Experience managing and successfully developing direct reports

  • Experience with Workamajig, Advantage, NetSuite OpenAir, Clients and Profits or other integrated operations tools a plus
