Position Purpose: StoneX Group Inc. is searching for a Global Events Manager to work in the West Des Moines office. Events are an important part of the StoneX overall branding and marketing strategy. Reporting to the Vice President of Global Events, the Global Events Manager will take a leadership role on the team when it comes to individual events. While they will need to delegate many of the details to vendors, they also need to ensure that every detail is executed completely, accurately, and on time. We're looking for a professional with progressive and demonstrated success in coordinating and executing all aspects of events. The successful candidate will need a dynamic personality and a proven ability to coordinate among multiple internal and external stakeholders at all levels, including managing expectations, providing solutions, and balancing a collaborative approach with the right measure of assertiveness and diplomacy.


Virtual Events:

  • Build and run virtual events (in WebEx and On24 virtual platforms)
  • Run speaker training
  • Agenda management
  • Speaker management

In-person Events:

  • Request and review hotel/venue and vendor contracts
  • Put together meeting specifications
  • Review BEOS
  • Work with vendors (transportation, décor, etc.)
  • Work with signage companies and StoneX Senior Graphic Designer
  • Speaker management
  • Work with production companies
  • Agenda management
  • Create name badges, table tents and other meeting materials, as needed

Assist Director of Event Marketing, as needed:

  • Build and test registration site (in Cvent)
  • Review copy, as needed, for accuracy
  • Ensure StoneX events are current on the company website


  • Reconcile AMEX bill monthly
  • Organize and file compliance approvals
  • Assist marketing team, as needed
  • Maintains prompt and regular attendance
  • This position will travel up to 50% of the year once we are back to planning in-person events

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree and work experience Requires at least 3-5 years of related experience Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the meetings industry

Skill Set: Experience with building and running virtual events (On24 preferred) Experience with building registration sites using an online registration tool (Reg123, Cvent, etc.) Strong problem solving, negotiation, and interpersonal skills The ability to work independently and with minimum direction Robust attention to the details Ability to utilize computer software, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

Preferred: Experience with Cvent Experience proofreading Experience with Salesforce and/or Pardot Certified Meeting Professional
