ARAG is hiring a Customer Insights Consultant - Lead! This person will gather research objectives from key stakeholders and recommend the correct research design to meet their goals. The ability to communicate critical insights and recommendations through strong storytelling skills is required.

Responsibilities

  • Gathers research objectives from key stakeholders in order to design and recommend the correct research design to capture desired goals.
  • Builds and/or deploys the appropriate survey design (either through internal resources or in coordination with an outside entity).
  • Designs and implements surveys for quantitative research, analyzes and interprets results utilizing knowledge of statistical concepts.
  • Designs and implements qualitative questions and/or interviews (either as stand-alone initiatives or within a quantitative design). Interprets the results utilizing qualitative, text analysis concepts.
  • Communicates critical insights and recommendations to management and others throughout the organization.
  • Manages overall satisfaction program for members, brokers, clients, employees and attorneys.
  • Manages tools, including Qualtrics, web-based intercept, etc.
  • Selects and manages relationships with research vendors. Coordinates relationships with outside vendors for various components of projects, such as securing a panel and/or facilitation of the survey.
  • Manages the standard reporting related to monthly and/or annual satisfaction outcomes.
  • Manages ad-hoc data request to help provide the business and/or its partners insight into aspects of the customer experience.
  • Acts as a mentor and guide to other staff related to the design, implementation, analysis and reporting of ARAG’s market research.
  • Stays aware of trends and best practices related to the design, implementation, analysis, and reporting of ARAG’s market research and makes recommendations for changes.
  • Serve as a positive role model by representing the ARAG at its Best and Leadership at its Best.

Experience

Knowledge

  • Strong technical market research skills; including quantitative and qualitative.
  • Experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
  • Experience with survey design and implementation.
  • Experience in selecting and directing market research vendors on projects.
  • Experience in Insurance or Financial Services preferred.

Skills

  • Deep understanding of and/or ability to conduct in-depth one-on-one or focus group moderation.
  • Experience synthesizing insights into actionable next steps that can be put to immediate use.
  • Strong storytelling skills and ability to tell a story based on qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Ability to understand complex business issues from multiple functional areas and synthesize market research data from multiple sources to address them.
  • Ability to think strategically and integrate market research findings into a total business perspective.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including the ability to effectively communicate research findings to diverse audiences.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to foster teamwork, commitment, and cooperation
  • Ability to take ownership of and independently manage projects from initiation through execution to completion.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience surveying software tools and Statistical Modeling packages (SPSS, SAS) recommended.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree Marketing, Business, Statistics, Psychology or related field from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience.

Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in the design, fielding and analysis of both qualitative and quantitative research required.

  • None required.
