Speakers:

Chris Owens, ARAG Legal Insurance
Chris Owens leads the marketing department at ARAG Legal Insurance and serves on the company’s senior leadership team.  A Drake University SJMC graduate, Chris has over 30 years of strategic consumer-centric marketing experience primarily in the financial and medical industries.

Jen Harken serves as the Corporate Communications & Special Projects Manager for ARAG Legal Insurance. Jen started her career in local news and has more than 20 years of experience in public relations, media relations, employee communications, corporate communications, marketing, event planning and project management. A graduate of Iowa State University Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication, Jen is a word nerd, storyteller, bad cook and lover of happy hour. 

Meghan is the Director of Grants at UnityPoint Health-Des Moines Foundation. She has been with them since 2022 and brings six years of experience in the marketing and communications industry. She has a passion for storytelling, using powerful patient experiences to inspire generosity and connect donors to the heart of the mission. Meghan finds purpose in bringing these stories to life in ways that honor both the patient journey and the donor’s desire to make a difference.

Kathryn Wirtz is a Senior Account Manager at Meyocks with over 13 years of experience developing and executing marketing communications plans. She primarily serves Farm Credit Services of America, providing strategic planning and implementation support for their marketing initiatives. Kathryn holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, and advertising from the University of Northern Iowa and a Digital Marketing Strategies executive certificate from Northwestern University's Kellogg Executive Education. Kathryn works remotely out of her home in Algona, Iowa, where she and her husband own an organic farming operation and feed mill.
